Tampereen Energia Sähköverkko chose Aidon as its partner for meter system renewal

Tampereen Energia Sähköverkko Oy and Aidon have signed a contract for the renewal of electricity metering system. The contract includes the delivery of ca. 130,000 new generation electricity meters with related connectivity solution, as well as metering service for 12 years. Furthermore, an installed base of near to 50,000 Aidon meters will be transferred to the system and service. Eltel Networks is responsible for the device installations as Aidon’s partner.

Majority of the meters connected to the system use RF mobile technology for data transmission. The technology has been proofed to be an efficient and reliable data transfer solution in both densely populated urban environments as well as suburban areas. As a complementary communication technology, an LTE-M / NB-IoT-based point-to-point solution is used.

The agreement with Tampere Energia Sähköverkko is significant for Aidon.
