Aidon joins as partner in a new 8-year research program FME SecurEL in Norway

Aidon is proud to announce to be partner in the new 8-year research program SecureEL – Secure, resilient and sustainable electricity distribution grids. The program which will start in 2025 is partly financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Energy and partly by the 40 contributing partners.

SecurEL is a partnership set-up between research organisations, DSOs and technology providers that represent an eco-system for low voltage and medium voltage grid. The purpose of the program is to run various pilots to study and verify new ideas for monitoring, controlling and automating energy flows in a local multi-prosumer system with dynamic consumption and production from a variety of sources (regulated/non-regulated). Aidon’s product and innovations will play an important role in this.

The FME SecurEL and the related partnerships have a strategic relevance for Aidon, as we constantly seek to develop forefront technical products and services relevant for the distribution grid. Aidon will use the results from the SecurEL program as background material and knowledge base for the development of solutions. We will contribute to the program with our experience and competence and by delivering, installing, and operating smart meters and our AMI with a variety of APIs for partners to explore.
