Aidon launches innovative Low-Voltage Grid Monitoring solution at E-world in Essen, Germany
Aidon, the Nordic market leader for digital metering and power grid management solutions, introduces at E-world 2024 exhibition in Essen a unique solution designed for the immediate need of the German distribution system operators to gain control of their low-voltage grid. The flexible, fast-to-deploy and cost-efficient Aidon Transformer Station monitoring solution combines transformer station metering and monitoring with feeder line measurements, providing a comprehensive and detailed online visibility to the low-voltage grid.
The Aidon Transformer Station monitoring solution provides complete, MID-approved 4-quadrant load profile measurements on the transformer stations, and also registers important electrical parameters and power quality values from the feeder lines on all phases in 1 minute resolution. In addition, transformer station health state monitoring data can be collected from a temperature sensor, short circuit indicator, tampering switch and other type of sensors, with real-time alerts. All data and alarms are transmitted securely and shown on a map-based software solution which also includes an advanced field work management application as part of the solution. The recently enacted §14a EnWG standard and additional requirements for the provision of grid status data are met and exceeded.
The solution can be retrofitted to existing transformer stations by DSO’s own personnel, and it is futureproof with a possibility for remote software upgrade to support any future legal requirements. It has been developed on the basis of Aidon’s wide experience in the demanding Nordic market, as well as pilot projects with German distribution system operators and feedback from numerous other market participants.
Aidon will showcase the solution on E-world energy and water exhibition in Essen, 20-22 February in Hall 3, booth 3M130.
