Aidon 8000 Series Meter
Designed for today’s and future energy distribution needs, the new Aidon 8000 series meter combines a compact design with innovative features that support advanced smart grids. The meter family includes DC, CT, and CT/VT models for applications ranging from household metering to high-accuracy requirements.
Ultra-compact design
The Aidon 8000 series meter combines ergonomic comfort with a compact form. A single mechanical concept works for both 3-phase and 1-phase meters, optimising the number of variants and enhancing logistic efficiency.
Best-in-class metering with a user-friendly interface
Intuitive display menus and a three-button setup make meter information easily accessible for installers and customers. Features include 4-quadrant phase-based and total energy measurement, tariffs, timestamped load profiles, load control, and power outage registration. Remote upgradability allows metering functions to be updated without on-site visits.
Easy and safe installation
The Aidon 8000 series meter is designed for easy and safe installation. Handling and positioning the device is effortless. The sliding screw terminal cover ensures that all connections are properly tightened. The display’s guided installation sequence immediately alerts you to any deviations and confirms successful installation.
Advanced smart grid intelligence
Comprehensive measurement capabilities and enhanced fault diagnostics support grid monitoring and management, including fault positioning, outage handling, delivery quality, demand response, and customer safety. Edge computing enables fast data processing for real-time control and diagnostics.
Reliable performance, flexible connectivity
Field-proven RF, NB-IoT, and LTE-M technologies ensure reliable communication in all conditions. Combining different technologies to create a hybrid solution leverages the strengths of each technology in every location. Remote-provisioned eSIM guarantees secure, flexible, and operator-independent IoT connectivity throughout the meter’s lifecycle.

Aidon 6000 and 7000 Series Energy Service Devices
Aidon’s 6000 and 7000 series Energy Service Devices (ESD) combine a meter, connectivity, versatile sensors, and interfaces with high performance. The reliable device platform is designed to meet the requirements and demanding conditions of the Nordic distribution network companies.
Several benefits
The device has a clear design, a robust structure, and it is easy to install. Remote upgradability enables the deployment of new applications and activation of new functionality during the device’s lifecycle.
7000 series with innovative features
The 7000 series devices come with unprecedented features such as the High-Speed Data Collection interface (HSDC) with extremely accurate sampling capability. It enables versatile and real-time controls and diagnostic applications.
System module – for seamless upgrades
The energy service device consists of an electricity meter and a system module. The system module takes care of the data transmission from the energy service device, and the type of the module is selected according to the used communication technology. A system module separate from the meter makes it possible to introduce new connectivity technology during the system lifecycle without changing the meter.
How it works
The meter measure energy consumption and produce information based on it at specified intervals, for example 15 or 60 minutes. The system module controls the meter and enables provision of time-stamped registry values, control of loads, monitoring of power quality, registration of power outages and fault information, as well as the reading of external status information.

Aidon Feeder Line Measurement Device
Aidon Feeder Line Measurement Device (FMD) enhances Aidon’s transformer station monitoring solution. It provides load measurements and other characteristics from each low voltage feeder line connected to the transformer station. FMD connected to the Aidon’s CT (current transformer) meter makes it a complete solution for monitoring of distribution transformer stations and the low voltage network.
Thanks to its modular design, multiple FMDs can be chained to support the needed number of feeder lines at a transformer station. It is optimised for retrofitting existing transformer stations which have no existing measurement capability, and is easy and simple to install to existing or new transformer stations by the DSO’s own personnel.
