Gridspertise S.r.l. acquires leading Nordic smart grid solution provider Aidon Oy
Gridspertise, a global player dedicated to supporting distribution system operators worldwide in accelerating the digital transformation of electricity grid, strengthens its global position as a leading energy transition enabler with an acquisition of a leading Nordic smart grid solution provider Aidon.
Gridspertise S.r.l., a company jointly owned and controlled by CVC Capital Partners and Enel Grids S.r.l., has agreed to acquire 100% of the shares in Aidon Oy from its current shareholders, Alder Fund I AB, 2VK Invest AS, Suomen Teollisuussijoitus Oy and minority shareholders. Aidon and its shareholders were advised on this transaction by investment bank Bryan, Garnier & Co.
With this transaction, Gridspertise accelerates its mission of partnering with energy distribution system operators (DSO) all over the world by adding intelligence to their distribution systems and upgrading them for the future. Gridspertise offers intelligent grid devices, end-to-end cloud-edge platform solutions and services to accelerate the digitalisation of electricity distribution grids. Gridspertise is among the market leaders in massive smart meter rollout and grid digitalization, and it has recently achieved the milestone of surpassing 100 million smart meters delivered worldwide.
