Energy utilities in Karlstad, Sweden, have chosen Aidon as the provider of the next generation\u2019s smart energy metering system. The contract includes a delivery of ca. 35\u00a0000 smart electricity meters, 5\u00a0400 district heat meters, the metering value collection as Aidon ACloud SaaS service, as well as Aidon One, a map-based service for a detailed overview on metering points and AMI connectivity.<\/p>\n

With this agreement, the two utilities Karlstads Energi and Karlstads El- och Stadsn\u00e4t join the group of more than 40 Swedish distribution system operators that have chosen Aidon technology.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Through the new generation metering system we create conditions for putting the customer in focus, as well as provide the opportunity for the next step in the energy transition, says\u00a0Anders \u00c5kesson<\/strong>, grid manager at Karlstads El- och Stadsn\u00e4t.<\/p>\n

Installations will start in 2021 and are estimated to be completed during 2023.<\/p>\n

\u2013 With this investment we enable a new, stable and secure metering system. At the same time it also contributes to improved collaboration opportunities between the sister companies of Karlstads Energi.
